Barcelona crushed Valencia 7-0 in the Copa del Rey semi-final first-leg tie at the Camp Nou to almost guarantee their place in the final for the second consecutive season.
Barca boss Luis Enrique gave Arda Turan a place in the starting line-up for the sixth time since making his debut in the same competition against rivals Espanyol.
Turan provided his third assist since making his debut setting up Luis Suarez for the seventh goal – coincidently the bearded winger also wears the number seven shirt number.
The Turkish international demonstrated great vision and passing ability in spotting Suarez’s run and finding him with pinpoint accuracy.
The Uruguayan international ended up scoring four on the night with Messi bagging a hat-trick himself.
Turan has now provided as many assists in his opening eight appearances for Barcelona as he did in his last 32 matches for former side Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona have won all nine games since Turan made his debut scoring 32 goals in the process and conceding just five.
