Last season a young Manchester United fan, Louis Diamond was filmed crying at the news of the Dutchman’s exit from Old Trafford and the video went viral.
Louis became known as the ‘crying Man Utd fan’ and his story was picked up across social and the mainstream media.

The video came to the attention of Fenerbahce supporters who started an online campaign to raise $2000 (£1,281) in July so that Louis could get the chance to be reunited with his idol.
The clip found its way to Fenerbahce club president Aziz Yildirim who invited the Diamond family to Turkey to watch a game and meet Van Persie.
A year on and Fenerbahce appear to have made themselves a new fans in Louis who was filmed in another video before the Europa League clash against Manchester United last Thursday saying that he will be backing the Istanbul giants.

Van Persie did start and he even scored for the Yellow Canaries but they ended up losing 4-1 to United – we just hope Louis took the final score better than news of Van Persie leaving.
