Monaco equalised soon after following a comedy of errors in the Fenerbahce defence but Emenike came to the rescue scoring a wonderful scissor kick in the second half.

Emenike was taken off for Aatif Chahechouhe late in the second half and received a standing ovation from the home fans.
The Yellow Canaries will take on Monaco next week in France for the return-leg clash.
