Despite conceeding on the night, Karius pulled off a string of impressive saves to keen Besiktas ahead.
Fortunately for Karius, manager Senol Gunes has a long history of developing goalkeepers in Turkey.

The 24-year-old is currently on a two-year loan deal with Besiktas from Liverpool.
