The 23-year-old has been consistently selected in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line up following the injury to Jordan Henderson.
Can has been playing at the base of a three man midfield and has impressed with both his defensive capabilities and ability on the ball.
The Germany international also showed that he is flexible enough to play in a 3-5-2 formation and has even at times played in defence this season.
Can has a little over 12 months remaining on his current contract with Liverpool.
