Bayer Leverkusen were held to a 1-1 draw against BATE making their chances of reaching the Champions League Last 16 all the more difficult.

The Bundesliga outfit conceded an early goal after a goalkeeping error from Leno but Hakan Çalhanoğlu setup Mehmedi in the second half for the equaliser.

Çalhanoğlu now has three goals and four assists in the Champions League this season and attracted the interest of Premier League giants Manchester United who are keeping close tabs on his according to the Bild.

Bayer were unable to find the winner and joined Roma on five points in Group E following their 6-1 loss agains Barcelona.

The German giants take on Barcelona on Match Day 6 while Roma have the easier task of playing BATE.
