Manchester United full-back Antonio Valencia showed off his new hair cut from inside the barbershop on Thursday and revealed that he has a Turkish barber.
Valencia’s barber was finishing off styling his hair when he was captured having a conversation with the Ecuador international.
The barber did have an accent familiar to Turkish speakers but there was no conclusive proof until Valencia wrote about his ‘Turkish buddy’ in the caption.
The United star wrote ‘Panita el turco. Now we knew Turco stood for Turkish but the word ‘Panita’ was apparently meant ‘liver’ according to our rudimentary translation tool (Google Translate). We later discovered there are a few difference between the Spanish or Spain and South America. Over in Ecuador the word means buddy – you learn something new everyday!

Robin van Persie also had a Turkish barber during his time at United, perhaps Valencia uses the same guy.
