Beşiktaş returned to league football after having their last two games abandoned due to heavy snowfall by crushing Gaziantepspor 4-0 at the Başakşehir stadium.
Black Eagles midfield maestro Oğuzhan Özyakup pulled his sides strings in attack making the highest number of passes (68) and also scored a fine goal dribbling around two defenders before finding the back of the net from just outside the six-yard box.
Özyakup is renowned for his attacking flair but he has also developed his defensive game this season making the highest number of tackles (4) and interceptions (3) in the midfield.
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has confirmed interest in Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup according to the Fanatik newspaper.
Bilic is quoted as saying: “Özyakup has really come along this season. Any manager would want to see ın their team.”
Bilic does of course know Özyakup well from his time coaching Beşiktaş but Arsenal have also expressed an interest according to Talksport.
The 23-year-old midfielder has Premier League experience and played a major role in Arsenal’s Under-18s side that won the Premier Academy League title in 2009 and made a few appearances.
