Villarreal Striker Who Man City Have £31.4m Buy-Back Option For Completes Move To La Liga Outfit

Real Valladolid have completed the loan transfer of Enes Unal from Villarreal on a one-year loan move.

The Turkey international scored five times in 31 appearances for the Yellow Submarines last term, spending a brief loan spell at Levante mid-way through the season as well.

City sold rising star Unal to Villarreal on a permanent deal last term but did include a buy-back option.

A source close to the player revealed to Turkish-Football that City have an option to sign Unal for £28 million [€32m] after his first season at Villarreal – which has now expired.

The fee rises to £29.7 million [€34m] in his second season and £31.4 million [€36m] in his third season.

If City do not wish to activate his buyback clause, Unal has a release clause set at £43.7 million [€50m].

The Citizens will be able to bring the 20-year-old back to Manchester if he goes onto reach his potential in La Liga but he will not sign on the cheap.

Valladolid returned to top-flight football for the first time since 2014 and kicked off their campaign with a goalless draw against Girona on Friday evening.

The newly-promoted side will take on Barcelona next on Saturday evening at the Estadio Jose Zorilla.

Unal joined City on a £2 million move from Bursaspor in 2015 and will now play for his eighth side.
