Basaksehir headed into the Sivasspor clash at the Fatih Terim stadium just one point behind league leaders Galatasaray.
The title challengers took an early lead inside the first 15 minutes but Mossoro saw red five minutes before half-time after picking up his second-yellow card.
An uneventful second-half saw Basaksehir comfortably hold onto the lead, until Robinho came along and ruined the party.
The former Brazil international was helped by awful goalkeeping from Volkan Babacan. In fact, in hindsight, it will probably go down as an own goal.
