Everton striker Cenk Tosun did not score or assist in the 2-1 victory over Southampton but he did put on an impressive display.
The Turkey international’s hold up play was exemplary, he worked his socks off and lead the line.
The 27-year-old almost had his second assist when his cross from the left was fired into the back of the net by Theo Walcott but the goal was ruled offside.
Tosun was given a standing ovation from the home faithful at Goodison Park after being taken off.

The striker went over to the fans after the final whistle and gave his shirt to the fans after the game. I thought it was great to see Tosun and Richarlison acknowledge and appreciate the fans. Tosun did do this during his time at Besiktas as well.
It may seem like a small gesture but it is the little details that count. And it goes a long way in establishing a bond between footballers and fans of the club.
