Ilkay Gundogan scored twice as Manchester City beat Basel 4-0 away to take a giant step towards securing a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The midfielder of Turkish origin gave his team the lead in the first-half with a near-post header from Kevin De Bruyne’s corner.
In the second half he curled a brilliant strike into the top corner to make it 4-0 – his first brace of the season.

The 27-year-old scored twice from four shots and also worked hard defensively making six tackles – the highest for his side.
Gundogan now has four goals and six assists in all competitions for the Citizens this season.
The brace was his first since City beat Barcelona 3-1 in the Champions League last season.
