Arsenal are currently a million miles from the optimism which surrounded the club after signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and extending Mesut Ozil’s contract by three years at the end of January.
The Gunners have subsequently suffered an embarrassing defeat to Ostersunds in the Europa League as well as back-to-back defeats at the hands of Man City.
Following Wednesday night’s 3-0 defeat to Man City, Ozil looked dejected in the centre of the pitch in scenes which resembled Alexis Sanchez back in 2017.
Following Arsenal’s 3-3 draw against Bournemouth in 2017, Sanchez was pictured crouching in the centre circle looking heartbroken.

Sanchez went onto leave the north London based club for Manchester United 12 months later.
However, Ozil only recently penned a mega-money deal making him the highest earner in Arsenal’s history.
