Mesut Ozil made a sick young Arsenal fan’s dreams come true after inviting him to his house.
Callum Axford, eight, of Strangman Avenue, Benfleet, was invited by Ozil into his London home.
According to the Basildon, Canvey Island Echo Callum was born prematurely with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, and has since been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, neurofibromatosis type One and chronic lung disease.
The charity Rays of Sunshine – who Ozil is an ambassador for – grant the wishes of seriously ill children in the UK.
They made Callum’s dream come true after arranging a trip to Ozil’s house.
The playmaker of Turkish origin shared a clip from the visit on his official Instagram account.

Speaking to The Echo, Callum’s mum Faye said: “It was quite a surprise call we had from Rays of Sunshine.
“They phoned up at the start of last week saying they had an unusual request, and said that Mesut wanted to see Callum again at his home.”
Arsenal take on Chelsea next in the Europa League final in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Ozil has been in Turkey for the past few days but is match fit and likely to feature against the Blues in the final.
