Watch: Newcastle starlet scores long range wonder goal
Newcastle United U23s ended a seven game winless streak with a 2-1 victory over Sparta Prague in the Premier league International Cup at Whitley Park.
The Magpies won the game thanks to an own goal from David Brezina and a long range wonder strike from Dan Barlaser.
The 20-year-old midfielder’s goal helped ensure Newcastle kicked off their Group A campaign in style.

The midfielder of Turkish origin has been included in the senior Newcastle provisional squad this season in the Premier League but has yet to make an appearance.
