Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen set social media alight in Turkey for all the wrong reasons following his appearance in Thursday evening’s cup final.
The Netherlands international only returned to first-team football late last month following a lengthy injury layoff.
Janssen started the Turkish Cup final against Akhisar on the bench but was brought on in the 87th minutes by manager Aykut Kocaman. The 23-year-old was unable to find the back of the net but did pick up a yellow card for one of the worst dives of the season.
Janssen – who is currently on a season long-loan with Fenerbahce from Tottenham – is clearly seen diving to the ground while trying to manufacture contact with the Akhisar defender. Referee Cuneyt Cakir did not appear to be too impressed and cautioned the star striker.

Fenerbahce ended up losing the cup final by a 3-2 scoreline while Akhisarspor booked their place in the Europa League next season.
Janssen is expected to return to Tottenham at the end of the season following a largely unsuccessful spell at Fenerbahce. The former AZ Alkmaar striker has netted just three goals in 14 Turkish Super Lig games this season.
