Villarreal beat Astana 3-1 at home in their opening Europa League group stage clash on Thursday evening.
Nicola Sansone opened the scoring for the Spanish giants but Yuri Logvinenko equalised on 68 minutes.
Enes Unal provided an assist for Cedric Bakambu who put the home side ahead and Denis Cheryshev wrapped up three points two minutes later with the third and final goal.

Unal’s assist was a cause for debate as Bakambu did most of the hard work making a driving run into the penalty box before scoring.
The Turkish international was however, awarded an assist which is his first for Villarreal since leaving Manchester City on a £12.6 million move (Transfermarkt).
