‘Welbeck being a BTEC Emre Can’ – Liverpool fans react to Arsenal striker attempting an Emre Can style overhead kick on social media
Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates to keep hopes of a top-four Premier League finish alive.
The Gunners could have scored a third had Danny Welbeck scored his overhead kick effort.
The linesman ruled the incident offside but it was soon picked up on social media and compared to Emre Can’s incredible overhead kick goal against Watford.
Can scored a candidate for goal of the season. Welbeck’s attempt was slightly less spectacular.
