Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to welcome the Gunners latest transfer to the club.
The north London based club completed the signing of Uruguay international Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria earlier this week.
The 22-year-old joined Arsenal for £26 million and put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract.
Torreira, who played all five of Uruguay’s games at the World Cup will wear the No.11 jersey which Mesut Ozil recently vacated.
Ozil took to Twitter and welcomed Torreira to the club.

The 29-year-old was handed the No.10 jersey following Jack Wilshere’s exit earlier this summer.
Ozil has made no secret of the fact that he wanted to wear the No.10 at Arsenal. The star playmaker wears the same shirt number for Germany and wore it while at Real Madrid.
Both Torreira and Ozil are expected to join Arsenal’s pre-season training camp later this month and are set to join the Gunners on their tour or Asia.
