West Ham boss set to target Turkish international winger

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed interest in Besiktas winger Gokhan Tore and is set to target the Turkish international star over the summer transfer window.

In an article published by Fanatik Bilic is quoted as saying: “Mario Gomez and Gokhan Tore would be a hit in England and are players every manager would want to see ın their team.”

Besiktas president Fikret Orman reportedly has offered to listen to any offers Bilic makes over the summer.

Orman and Bilic have close ties from the Croatian manager’s time coaching the Black Eagles.

Bilic managed Besiktas over the last two seasons and left the club on good terms largely being credited for laying the foundations of one of the most exciting sides in the Super League this season.

Besiktas reportedly turned down a £7.4 million bid for Gokhan Tore according to the Sun newspaper in January.

The Hammers were closely linked with Tore and head coach Slaven Bilic recently stated that he tried to sign the 23-year-old at the start of the season.

“I have always said that Gökhan Töre could play at any European team he has both the quality and the potential,” Bilic said.

Tore has experience being at a Premier League club having risen through the ranks of Chelsea as a youth player.
