Gokhan Tore has not exactly hit the ground running at West Ham this season and to make matters worse he has now been sidelined for up to five weeks due to injury. Tore is not expected to return to first team football until November and his absence adds to an already mounting injury crisis at the East London based outfit.
The Turkish international winger did not get a particularly sympathetic reaction from the Hammers faithful, in fact the response was quite the opposite.
We took a look at how West Ham fans reacted to news of his injury on social media.
In general most West Ham fans did not seem particularly bothered in fact some supporters feel it could end up being a blessing for the team.

Tore is not exactly the most popular man in the east end of London right now.

This tweeter revealed that he hoped the injury was for a longer period of time.
Absolutely devastating that Gokhan Tore will be out for about 5 weeks.
I wish it was longer.

West Ham have loaned Tore on a one-year deal from Besiktas and did pay a £2.5 million upfront free. The Hammers have a £10 million buyout clause option and despite rumours that they will send him back in January the club will have to keep him on until the end of the season.

Considering Tore provided the assist in the Hammers sole victory of the season against Bournemouth the reaction towards the explosive winger has been a little over the top. It is not like the rest of the team have been in amazing form.
