Wilfried Zaha’s future at Galatasaray is shrouded in doubt, with reports suggesting a return to the Premier League and West Ham United a strong possibility.

Turkish outlet Takvim reports that the Ivorian winger has been heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium.

This wouldn’t be the first time West Ham have expressed interest, having reportedly pursued Zaha in the previous two transfer windows. Last summer, he was considered their “top target,” and rumors resurfaced in January regarding his potential return to England.

West Ham’s desire for squad improvement aligns with Zaha’s apparent openness to a Premier League comeback. Links to PSG and Atletico Madrid last year failed to materialize, leading Zaha to Turkey after rejecting a Crystal Palace contract extension.

Despite scoring nine goals and providing three assists in league play, along with a Champions League goal and assist, Zaha has only started one of Galatasaray’s last seven league matches.

He is under contract until 2026 so Galatasaray have a strong negotiating position if they do decide to sell this summer.

This has fueled speculation of a swift return to England, with West Ham positioned as the frontrunners.

Zaha’s experience and impressive performances for Crystal Palace haven’t gone unnoticed in England. However, questions remain about his potential wage demands and whether his age (31) might be a deterrent for West Ham.

Only time will tell if West Ham can secure Zaha’s signature. While his talent is undeniable, the factors of his wage demands and age could influence the final decision.
