West Ham star makes debut against Chelsea 5 years after leaving Blues

West Ham summer signing Gokhan Tore made his official debut for his new club against the team he left five years ago.

The Hammers winger came on midway through the first half replacing Andre Ayew who had to come off injured.

Tore is no stranger to Chelsea or Stamford Bridge having joined the club as a youngster from Germany aged 17.

The Turkish international winger spent two years at the London based outfit before joining HSV, followed by Rubin Kazan and then Besiktas.

Tore is on loan at West Ham on a one-year deal from Turkish champions Besiktas.

The 24-year-old was used a like for like sway with Ayew and deployed as a winger. Tore is no stranger to what West Ham boss Slaven Bilic will be demanding after having played for the Croatian manager during this time in charge of Besiktas.

Bilic coached Tore for two-seasons at Besiktas – longer that he has coached any other West Ham player.
