West Ham star Gokhan Tore reveals horrific injury ordeal in detail
West Ham loanee Gokhan Tore did not exactly hit the ground running in the Premier League.
Tore enjoyed a brief run of games, starting in four out of the six Premier League games he starred in but it was during a poor run of form for West Ham, after which he picked up a season ending injury.
The Turkish international explained the moment his season ended during the pre-match warmup against Crystal Palace.
Speaking to Fanatik Besiktas editor Gökmen Özcan Tore said, “I had another problem with my knee, as I was warming up for the Crystal Palace match, just three minutes before it ended one of my teammates made a tackle, my foot slipped and that was it my season was over.”
“I felt something in my knee, then the doctors confirmed my worst fears and told me they had to operate.”
Despite only making eight appearances in all competitions for the Hammers this season Tore still has a lot of respect for Slaven Bilic and revealed that they maintain a great relationship.
Tore said: “Slaven is like my older brother, we still have the same connection.
“I picked up a knee injury during the pre-season which set be back a month and then I did my upmost to return to the team.
“I started four of the six Premier League games I featured in this season.”
