West Ham suffer transfer blow as £15m Cape Verde international responds to transfer reports

Garry Rodrigues

West Ham Ham United and Newcastle target Garry Rodrigues has responded to reports linking him with a move away from Galatasaray.

The Cape Verde international has hit the form of his life since the appointment of Fatih Terim and has played a major role in Galatasaray’s title challenge in recent weeks.

Naturally, Rodrigues has attracted the attention of clubs across Europe including several from the Premier League.

We recently reported that both Newcastle United and West Ham have expressed an interest in the 27-year-old.

However, Rodrigues has stated that he is happy with life in Istanbul and is not currently considering a move away from Galatasaray.

Meanwhile, a source close to Galatasaray recently revealed to Turkish-Football that West Ham had a £10 million bid for Rodrigues rejected earlier this month. Per the source, Galatasaray are holding out for an offer in the region of £15 million.

Galatasaray are back in action this weekend when they take on their rivals Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
