West Ham United have fended off interest from Fenerbahce to complete the signing the signing of Sofiane Feghouli.
The Algeria international has joined the Hammers on a free transfer after his contract with Valencia expired.
“I am very happy to sign for the Hammers and for Slaven Bilic,” Feghouli told West Ham’s official website.
“The history of the club is important for me in my decision.
“Playing in the Premier League is very important for players in their careers and I am happy to play for the Hammers.”
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is also understood to be interested in signing Besiktas duo Atiba Hutchinson and Gokhan Tore.
The Turkish newspaper Milliyet previously reported that Fenerbahce had held early talks with the Algeria international.
Fenerbahce President Aziz Yildirim met with Feghouli’s agent in Istanbul and had agreed personal terms with the 26-year-old.
However Feghouli opted to make a more to the Premier League. Feghouli has made 29 appearances for Valencia this season, scoring four times and registering two assists.
