Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg are keeping tabs on Alpaslan Öztürk according to his agent Saffet Balkan.

“Wolfsburg were impressed, they said his style of play would suit the Bundesliga and that he was a strong, physical player,” Balkan said.

Balkan recently revealed that West Ham, Parma and Liverpool have also been keeping tabs on the 21-year-old midfielder.

“West Ham, Parma and Liverpool were interested in Alpaslan,” Balkan told Turkish-football.com.

“Charlton also made an offer however, Alpaslan decided to join Kasımpaşa and is looking forwards to the prospect of playing first team football as well as working alongside Shota Arveladze.

“Alpaslan wanted a move to Turkey and aims to break into the senior Turkish national team.”

The former Birmingham City youth player joined Kasımpaşa on loan from Standard Liege and has established himself as a regular first-team player.

Öztürk is a powerful defensive midfielder, standing in a 1.86m and weighing 83 kg. The 21-year-old has averaged 2.3 tackles per-game and is an accomplished passer of the ball averaging 46 passes per-game (Whoscored).

The young midfielder was born in Antwerp, Belgian to Turkish parents making him eligible to play for the Turkish national team.

The 20-year-old midfielder can also play right-back and despite playing for Belgium at U18-21 level, Öztürk switched allegiances and represented the U20 Turkish national side in the U20 World Cup 2013.
