Wolves Make £16m Bid For World Cup Finalist, Super Lig Club Official Set To Travel To England For Talks

Wolves have made a £16m [€18m] offer for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida according to Sabah.

Per the source, Besiktas president Firket Orman is set to travel to England for talks with Wolves club officials over completing the transfer before the end of the window on Thursday 9 August.

The report claims that Leicester City, Liverpool and West Ham are also interested in the defender.

The Turkish media have reported multiple figures regarding rumored offers made for Vida but it turns out Wolves have actually made the highest bid which stands at £16m.

Turkish-Football meanwhile, reported that preliminary talks took place through associates of Jorge Mendes who has close ties to both clubs.

The Black Eagles are keen to sell Vida to the Premier League before transfer season deadline on Thursday after seeing his value skyrocket following the World Cup.

It makes financial sense to the club to sell the 29-year-old while his stock is high after signing him on a free-transfer from Dynamo Kiev in January.

Vida started every game for Croatia on their path to the World Cup final against France, scoring a goal and providing an assist along the way.
