Barcelona have become the latest side to join the race for Trabzonspor wonder-kid Abdulkadir Omur.
Haberturk report that club officials from the La Liga champions have contracted Trabzonspor about signing the 18-year-old nicknamed the Turkish Messi.
Per the source, Trabzonspor want a transfer fee in the region of €30 million for the Turkey international.
Barca could face stiff competition from Tottenham who have been closely linked with the rising star.
Former Trabzonspor president Muharrem Usta recently confirmed to Turkish-Football that he held talks with an unnamed Premier League side prior to his departure.
“A Premier League club sent over a club official to hold talks over Omur, we held negotiations in my Istanbul office,” he admitted.
Turkish journalist Erdal Hos, who has close tied to Trabzonspor revealed on Turkish TV Channel TVNet that Spurs have made a bid: “There is a concrete offer.”

Omur has a total of three goals and six assists in 31 appearances in all competitions this season
The wonder-kid midfielder has a contract with Trabzonspor until 2022 and is rated as one of the most promising players in the league.
Emre Sarigul of Turkish-Football included Omur in the Guardian newspaper ‘Next Generation 2016: 60 of the best young talents in world football’ list last year.
