World Cup Star Pushed Closer To Arsenal Exit This Summer Following Petr Cech Comments

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has been pushed closer to a summer exit following recent comments by Petr Cech.

Cech has confirmed that Serie A outfit Napoli are interested in him.

The experienced keeper has however, made it clear he will not be joining Napoli.

Cech will remain at Arsenal and fight for his place in the team following the signing of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen.

Cech was quoted by the Express as saying: “Napoli were interested in me, but my future is at Arsenal and I do not think about changing clubs. I still have a year of my contract with Arsenal, the only thing I want to think about is fighting for a starting position.”

Leno was snapped up on a £19.3 million move last month.

Cech will be staying on at the North London outfit but it looks like David Ospina could, therefore, be headed for an exit.

Ospina was unhappy playing second fiddle to Cech last season, with Leno joining he will move further down the pecking order.

Turkish-Football reported last month that Fenerbahce club president Ali Koc and several club representatives travelled to London and was spotted at the Dorchester Hotel.

The Fenerbahce delegation held talks with representatives from several clubs including Arsenal regarding Ospina.

Yellow Canaries sporting director Damien Comolli has contacted Arsenal and Ospina’s representatives regarding a summer move.

The 27-year-old will make a final decision after the World Cup.

Colombia will take on England in the Last 16 clash tonight. Ospina has started every game for the South American’s over the course of the tournament.
