Yanal – ‘If we beat Besiktas we are back in the title race’ [divider]
Ersun Yanal underlined the importance of the weekend Süper Lig clash against Beşiktaş.
“We need to close the gap with Beşiktaş, this game gives us the chance to do that,” Yanal said.
“There is a five point gap that needs to be reduced so this is a must win game for us.
“The game will be played in Konya so it will be unusual for both sides but it does not take anything away from the game. “
Yanal admitted he was disappointed with Trabzonspor’s draw against lower league Keçiörengücü in the Turkish Cup but believes it will not effect his teams morale ahead of the Beşiktaş game.
“Obviously we are disappointed with our result in the Turkish Cup but this is completely different.
“We want to win every game we play but our opposition will be no pushovers.
“The game plan will be based around attacking as usual, we play to win and take risks.
“If we win we are back in the title race.”
