Mesut Ozil has struggled for playing time this season making just one Premier League appearance.

The playmaker of Turkish origin posted a cryptic social post on the eve of the Europa League clash against Vitoria with a photograph of himself laughing at training alongside a message which read: ‘You make me laugh’.

It was not clear who Ozil was directing the message at but considering the exchange between Unai Emery and the 31-year-old the other day some Arsenal fans interpreted it as a dig at the Arsenal head coach.

And it appears that quite a few of Ozil’s teammates have his back.

In fact, eight Arsenal players liked the Tweet; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka, Shkodran Mustafi, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Sead Kolasniac, James Olayinka and Rob Holding all ‘liked’ the post.

Ozil did not feature against Vitoria on Thursday, in fact, he did not even make the matchday squad.

Arsenal take on Crystal Palace next in the Premier League on Sunday.
