Zinedine Zidane has urged Real Madrid to sign Beşiktaş’ in-form striker Mario Gomez.

FoxSport have reported that the newly appointed Madrid manager wants to bolster his attacking options and has asked the board to pursue the Germany international.

Real could also face competition from Manchester United who have expressed an interest in him according to Telegraph.

Gomez joined Beşiktaş on a two-year loan from Fiorentina however, Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman recently stated the club will only consider offers of €20 million for Gozmez at the end of the season despite not currently actually signing the player on a permanent deal.

“At the end of the season if any club wants Gomez they will have to offer €20m million or more I mean we are talking about a German international striker who has proven himself countless times at the highest level,” Orman was quoted as saying by Radyospor.

Gomez has been in great form for Beşiktaş this season scoring 15 goals and providing three assists in all competitions.
