£22m Brazilian ace linked with Man United transfer is using interest to get a better deal according to Besiktas

Besiktas believe Anderson Talisca’s representatives are using interest from Manchester United to request higher wages.

Talisca has been closely linked with a Man United transfer following comments made to Globoesporte as well as reports in the Turkish press.

“That is a question I can not give an answer to just yet,” Talisca was quoted as saying when asked about United interest.

“I cannot deny there is interest but what happens next depends on Benfica and my representatives.

“There will be news on this soon.

“Look every player dreams of playing under him [Jose Mourinho].

“Mourinho wants me, he has wanted me for a long time and I am an admirer of his work.

“I had a good season so we will see what happens.”

A source close to Besiktas revealed to Turkish-Football that contrary to reports United have not made an offer for Talisca – not officially anyway.

The Istanbul giants feel Talisca’s representatives are using the interest from United to push for an improved deal.

Besiktas have already offered Anderson Talisca a wage increase which would see his yearly salary rise from €1.6 million to €2 million next season.

Besiktas would have to be notified in the even of a bid that activated his £22 million release clause.

The Turkish champions agreed a two-year loan deal with Benfica last season.

As things stand Talsica will be remaining in Istanbul but they cannot rule out a summer exit because of the release clause.

Talisca played a key role in Besiktas winning the league title last season scoring 17 times and providing six assists.
