Arda Turan dismisses Barcelona exit talk

Man United team news Arda Turan

Arda Turan has insisted that he has no intention of leaving Barcelona at the end of the season.

The Turkish international instead stated that he expects his performances to improve next season.

“For me it’s a new system, a language that I still have to learn. Next year will be better,” Turan told Diario Ara.

“I know that from here I will be improving. Now it’s time to win titles and the year that comes will be better for me.”

Turan failed to make an impact after coming off the bench in his first El Classico derby.

Barcelona suffered a 2-1 defeat against arch rivals Real Madrid at the Camp Nou ending a 39 match unbeaten run in all competitions.

The Turkish international received a rating of 5.89 from WhoScored for his cameo performance off the bench. Turan made no key passes, dribbles or shots on target during his 17 minutes on the field.

Barcelona remain seven points clear of third placed Real Madrid despite the defeat with Atleti six points behind in second place.

The Catalan giants take on Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League next week.
