“I received lots of offers, but when I heard from Barca I pushed all the others aside,” Arda stated at a press conference today after signing a five-year deal with Barcelona.

“Those who know me know that I’ve dreamt of playing for Barca since I was a kid.

“I’m happy to come to the best club in the world. I’ll try to give the best I’ve have.

“I’ve always liked having to really fight in order to win; I think here people will see the best Arda.”

Turan completed his £24 million move to FC Barcelona from Atletico Madrid today.

The Turkish international will be unable to play an official game for Barcelona until January 2016 due to a transfer ban imposed by Fifa for breaching rules over the signings of underage players.

The 28-year-old winger provided six assists and three goals in 46 appearances in all competitions for Atletico Madrid last season.
