Beşiktaş midfielder Oğuzhan Özyakup has ruled out a January following the 2-1 victory over Qatar in Doha.

“There are a lot of rumours but I am not interested my only goal is to win the league with Beşiktaş this season,” Özyakup said after the game.

Özyakup has caught the attention of Manchester United scouts according to the Milliyet (via Eurosport).

The daily newspaper states that United scouts who were sent to keep tabs on Mario Gomez, turned their attention towards Özyakup following his impressive display against Bursaspor.

The former Arsenal youth scored the winning goal in the last minute that led to the win that took the Black Eagles top of the table.

Arsenal have also shown an interest in re-signing their former youngster as they continue efforts to sing a deep-lying midfielder according to Talksport.

Three-years on since leaving the north London based club in search of regular first team football Özyakup has established himself as a star in the Beşiktaş team and a regular Turkish international team.

Özyakup has three goals and six assists in all competitions for the Istanbul giants this season.
