Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that the Gunners may be without key names going into their clash with Leicester City this weekend.

The north London club are already without Per Mertesacker, Gabriel, Danny Welbeck, Iwobi and Aaron Ramsey due to injury.

However, the Gunners may also be without Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud.

Wenger was quoted on the official Arsenal website as saying: “We will try, but when they have not enough preparation they get injured,” when asked whether the trio will feature on Saturday.

Giroud and Koscielny reached the Euro 2016 final with France, while Ozil’s Germany made it to the semi-final. Meanwhile, Ramsey reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016 with Wales but was deemed fit enough to play last weekend.

Ozil was included in the provisional squad going into the game against the Reds but was left out of the match day squad The Germany international is not injured but Wenger fears that his star man may end up on the sidelines if he is rushed back before he is 100 percent fit.
