Arsenal are considering a £20 million move for Porto full-back Ricardo Pereira according to the Daily Star.
Per the source, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen on bringing him in as a rival to Hector Bellerin.
The move would also make the possibility of Mathieu Debuchy leaving the Emirates more likely.
Debuchy had been closely linked with a move to Galatasaray over the summer but the deal fell through.
Pereira has been in impressive form on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Nice this season and he has played an important role for the table toppers who have lost just once this season.
The 23-year-old has one goal and three assists in 20 appearances for Nice and is into his second season on loan for the French clubs.
Arsenal have struggled defensively this season and the report also claims that right-back Carl Jenkinson who has not featured for the Gunners since November could be on his way to Crystal Palace on loan.
