Arsenal star Mesut Özil must be feeling a little shocked over recent weeks. The player who couldn’t do anything right currently can’t do anything wrong.
The World Cup winner was praised following his performance against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
Arsenal beat the Croatian giants 3-0 with Özil scoring the opening goal – his third of the season.
Manchester United legend and BT Sports pundit Rio Ferdinand went as far to describe Özil as being a footballing artist that is beautiful to watch.
“He is someone that you love watching playing he is like an artist he is always looking for a pass that open door to pass the ball through,” Ferdinand said speaking on BT Sport after the game.
“On his day he is a beautiful player to watch.”
Özil does not have the most prolific scoring record but he has netted important goals this season against Bayern Munich and Manchester United. His latest goal could end up helping the Gunners reach the next round of the Champions League but they still have to beat Olympiakos in Greece if that is to happen.
Arsenal take on Norwich City next in the Premier League Özil is almost certain to start.
