Arsenal playmaker Mesut Özil has picked his ultimate starting XI out of players he has played with during his career.
The Germany international picked Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas as his ultimate goalkeeper. Özil’s dream defence would consist of Sergio Ramos, Jerome Boateng, Marcelo and Philipp Lahm.
In midfield Özil would want to see Xabi Alonso, Santi Cazorla, Cristiano Ronaldo and Di Maria. Up front the 26-year-old selected Karim Benzema and surprisingly Serge Gnabry.
Özil selected just two Arsenal players in his starting eleven despite spending two seasons at the North London based side.
Serge Gnabry provided two assists and three goals in eight appearances for Arsenal this season.
Özil ended the 2014-15 season with his second consecutive FA Cup title. The Germany international joined Arsenal for a club record £42.5 million from Real Madrid back in 2013.
The Arsenal playmaker provided nine assists and five goals in 32 appearances for the North London based club this season.
