Arsenal team news: Injury blow as 4 players ruled out, Mesut Ozil makes trip, French international set for first start

Arsenal take on Ludogorets in Bulgaria needing a win to secure a place in the next round of the Champions League.

The Gunners will be without four important players going into the clash with Nacho Monreal, Santi Cazorla, Hector Bellerin and Theo Walcott all missed the trip to Bulgaria as a result of injury according to Arsene Wenger.

The Arsenal boss revealed on the official Arsenal club website that Walcott and Bellerin do not have serious injuries but have been rested ahead of the North London derby against Tottenham next week.

Reports today in the Sun however, suggest that Bellerin could actually miss the North London derby against Tottenham next week as well as a result of the injury.

In other Arsenal team news Germany international of Turkish origin Mesut Ozil is match fit and made the trip to Sofia.

French international striker Olivier Giroud returned form injury to bag a brace against Sunderland on the weekend and ESPN FC report that he is set to start against Ludogorets on Tuesday evening.

Giroud could however, face competition upfront from Alexis Sanchez who has excelled in the absence of the French striker scoring eight times and providing seven assists for the Gunners this season.
