Arsenal team news: Wenger facing injury crisis ahead of Crystal Palace clash, Ozil available

Arsenal team manager Arsene Wenger is facing an injury crisis ahead of the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

Wenger will be without first choice keeper Petr Cech as well as second choice David Ospina who the second game running.

The French head coach also revealed that Francis Coquelin will be available and that Laurent Koscielny is also out injured.

“Coquelin is back available, he had problem with his back. He’s in contention again. I don’t believe Cech will be available for Monday night, nor Ospina,” Wenger told reporters at his pre-match press conference.

“[Koscielny] He’s out for Monday.”

With both keepers out Emiliano Martinez will be almost certain to start for the North London based outfit at Selhurt Park.

In other Arsenal team news Germany international of Turkish origin Mesut Ozil was spotted training this week and is expected to start.

Ozil scored his first goal of 2017 and also provided an assist in the 3-0 win over West Ham over the weekend.

The Gunners will play their second consecutive London derby against Palace and head into the game in 5th place.

Arsenal will be in high spirits heading into the game after last weeks victory and Palace boss Sam Allardyce has lost 15 times to Wenger in the league – the most defeats he has against any manager in the competition (W4 D7).
