Augsburg 0-0 Liverpool: Emre Can stars in Reds draw

Liverpool news: Emre Can Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool held Augsburg to a goalless draw at the WWK Arena in the Europa League Round of 32 first-leg tie.

Jurgen Klopp named an unchanged side for the first time since replacing Brendan Rodgers as the Reds head coach.

Emre Can started in central midfield alongside James Milner and Jordan Henderson. Liverpool may have put six past Aston Villa last week but failed to hit the back of the net against the Bundesliga outfit.

The Germany international of Turkish origin made the highest number of passes in midfield (63) at an 89 percent accuracy.

Can helped stifle the opposition and keep his side a clean sheet giving Liverpool the advantage going into the second leg.

Liverpool take on Augsburg at Anfield in the return leg on 25 February 2016.
