Benfica expects Galatasaray to give ‘a lot of problems’

Galatasaray take on Benfica on Champions League Match Day 4 having beat the Portuguese giants in Istanbul.

Benfica boss Rui Vitoria is under no illusions that Galatasaray will be a pushover in fact he expects the Istanbul giants to give his side problems.

Vitoria told the official UEFA website: “Galatasaray will cause us lots of problems. They are on a good run and very experienced. We lost in Turkey, although we were good in some areas.”

The Benfica manager does however, believe that his side have what is takes to beat Galatasaray especially Portugal .

“The away match gave us a better knowledge of our opponents. It might have ended differently. We have maximum respect for [Galatasaray] but we know we can beat them. Our last meeting showed that for sure,” he added.

Galatasaray have not won an away Champions League game since a 3-2 win over Schalke in the 2012-13 Round of 16 second-leg game.
