Besiktas have agreed terms with Aston Villa full-back Cissokho

Besiktas have agreed terms with Aston Villa right-back Aly Cissokho according to Ajansspor reporter Ozgur Sancar.

The report states that the Black Eagles have have struck a two year deal with an option for a one-year extension. Besiktas board member Erdal Torunogullari has been in talks with Cissokho’s agent and come to an agreement.

Fellow Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor were also reported to be in talks with Cissokho according to Haberturk.

The 28-year-old does however, have another two-years remanning on his current deal with Aston Villa but is one of several players expected to leave once the Premier League outfit face the drop.

Cissokho has a wealth of experience playing for French giants Lyon, Liverpool as well as Valencia over the past few years.

Besiktas would be able to offer Cissokho Champions League football as they are almost certain to finish inside the top two.

The 28-year-old has made 18 appearances in all competitions for Villa this season but spent the first half of the season on loan at Porto.
