Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho wanted Barcelona star Arda Turan over the summer transfer window according to his agent Ahmet Bulut.
Bulut revealed that Mourinho was disappointed with not being able to sign the bearded winger.
“Mourinho told me he was upset that I did not sell Arda to him,” Bulut told AMK.
Bulut also stated that Manchester United made a move for the Turkish international last year.
“Last season Manchester United made a bid for Arda but Atletico Madrid did not want him to leave,” Bulut told AMK.
Turan also received offers from French giants PSG and Monaco over the summer according to the players agent.
Barcelona ended up managing to convince Turan to sign from Atletico Madrid on a five-year deal despite serving a FIFA transfer ban at the time.
The reigning La Liga champions were able to sign Turan but banned from registering him meaning the 28-year-old has been unable to make a single appearance Barcelona since joining.
The former Atleti star has however, managed to keep match fit due to regularly playing for the Turkish national side over their European Championship qualification campaign.
Turan will however, be able to play for his new side in January when the transfer window opens.
