Chelsea transfer news: Real Madrid join race for €25m Uruguay ace
Galatasaray are going to have a tough time keeping Fernando Muslera at the club this summer.
The 30-year-old’s contract expires in under 18 months and he has attracted the attention of clubs across Europe.
A source close to Galatasaray has told Turkish-Football that Real Madrid are the latest side to enquire about Muslera’s availability.
Meanwhile the Daily Mail reported that the Chelsea are also keen to sign the Uruguay international this summer.
Turkish-Football previously reported that the Istanbul giants want to keep Muslera at the club and have slapped a €25m price tag on him.
However, with time running out on the star goalkeeper’s contract and with Galatasaray’s difficult financial position, the Lions may be forced to cash in this summer.
Muslera has established himself as a firm fan favourite at Galatasaray and has lifted every domestic trophy.
Galatasaray are currently third in the Turkish Super League, eight points behind league leaders Besiktas.
