Barcelona star Arda Turan will miss out on the El Clasico and the Camp Nou against Real Madrid due to the FIFA transfer ban but he does believe the reigning La Liga champions will beat their arch rival.

The bearded winger believes Barcelona are the best team in the world and that he dreams of playing in the next big derby against Real.

“I’m part of the best team in the world and it would be a dream to play in the next Clasico, at Camp Nou. I hope that we beat Real Madrid and we can keep our high level of performance,” Turan told Sport.

The Turkish international also stated that in his opinion the El Clasico is the most exciting clash in the world and that being at Barcelona is a source of great pride.

“The Clasico is the most exciting clash in the world. I can’t play in the first one, which makes me sad. To be at Barcelona is something that fills me with pride,” Turan told Sport.

Turan has not been able to play for Barcelona but he has been in great form for the Turkish national team where the ban does not apply. The Crescent-Stars are unbeaten in their last 11 games and the 28-year-old has featured in 10 of them.

Turkey booked a place in the European Championships with Turan playing a key role in the Crescent-Stars booking a place in the competition in France.
