Emre Can made highest number of tackles in Liverpool win over Man Utd

Liverpool star Emre Can put on a stellar defensive performance in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United in the Europa League Last 16 second-leg clash.

The Germany international of Turkish origin made life difficult for the United midfield and forwards constantly pressing and making well timed tackles as well as interceptions.

Can attempted 10 tackles and won eight of them which were the most of any player in the game.

The young midfielder also made seven blocks, four inteceptions, four clearances and won three aerial duals according to Squawka.

Can bossed the midfield and stopped several United attacks playing a key role in the the Reds team with the ball being played by him both defensively and going forwards. In fact only Coutinho had as many touches on the ball (62).
